The main benefits of embryoscopy as a new time-lapse IVF technique for direct visualization of the first-trimester conceptus are: a) non-invasive (no embryo intervention) accurate analysis of embryo quality, b) selective transferability of a single embryo while maintaining the achieved pregnancy rate after transferring two embryos, and c) the ability to conduct a retrospective analysis of an IVF cycle with or without ICSI in assisted reproduction in case of a failed IVF cycle.
